MACABRE: 'Historic' Axe Being Auctioned

September 13, 2006

A 100% original Dean 1979 "Z" Explorer six-string guitar owned by Corporate Death from the legendary metal band MACABRE is being auctioned on eBay at this location. According to a press release, "This guitar was used on the MACABRE recordings 1986's 'Grim Reality' and 1989's 'Gloom'. Corporate Death will sign it if you want. it is 100% stock, not a replica. You will never see this collectable again. A great vintage guitar from 1979. If you ever seen any really old live MACABRE videos, you will see Corporate Death playing this guitar. Since he moved to playing seven-string guitars, he is selling off a few items to pay for a custom eight-string guitar he plans to have built for future MACABRE recordings."

The auction ends on September 22 at appoximately 4:30 p.m. PDT. The current bid is $1,335.00.

MACABRE released its first DVD, entitled "Live in Holland – True Tales of Slaughter and Slaying", on July 11 in North America and July 17 in the rest of the world (except Germany, where came out July 14). The disc contains multi-camera footage shot during the "Murder Metal" tour on August 26, 2005 at the Bibelot in Dordrecht, Holland and was released in a special limited-edition deluxe metalpak.
